We think you ALL need to consider purchasing Trip Insurance when booking a trip/hunt/international travel, etc. I know, I know … “it’s too expensive” OR “I don’t need it, nothing will happen”, these are typical responses we have heard in the past. Honestly, we’ve said the same thing ourselves in the past. Unfortunately, we just NEVER know what’s going to happen in the future. The thing is, in most cases a few hundred dollars for a trip insurance policy can cover a trip costing over $6,000!
In Alaska unforeseen things can, and probably will happen.
Many seasons we have SEVERAL “weathered in” days, meaning clients either didn’t get into the field OR come out of the field on the day they were scheduled due to BAD WEATHER. PLEASE REMEMBER: Weather and flying conditions are things that we have NO CONTROL over, and safety is of the utmost importance.
If you have travel insurance, and purchase the plans accordingly, you may have the opportunity for those additional costs to be covered. For example, we’ve had clients tell us that they had to pay over $1,200 to reschedule their missed commercial flights.
PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE AND LOOK INTO TRIP INSURANCE.
We do understand these types of coverages are not for everyone, but we truly feel it’s in your best interest to do your research and make an educated decision. For a few hundred bucks to cover $1,000’s of dollars of unforeseen expenses. In our opinion, it’s well worth the cost involved. As a matter of fact, we get it for all of our trips.
